Janessa is learning to say simple words & sentence.
Though she doesn't speak a lot & her choice of words are limited, her understanding is far beyond our imagination.
Whenever my mom speaks in any dialect, she will quick to understand.
On day, my mom spoke to Janelle in Mandarin - " Janelle, since u are a good girl today, u can watch "Toy Story 3" DVD". Guess what Janessa did - she actually ran to get the DVD and says "Orie-orie" (she means Toy Story)..haha, so cute. She understands what my mom trying to say..
Yesterday, my mom asked my dad to bring her a towel on the chair in Hokkien..
My dad could't find the towel...and guess what Janessa quickly grabbed the towel & passed to my mom...hah, she understands even in Hokkien.
Truly i should not underestimate baby's brain..
They are learning everyday even before they start to talk.
Here are some of Janessa's 1st words:
Pa-pa
Mummy
Che-che (sister). This is her very 1st word when she was 8-9 months old
Po-po
Kung-kung ampung (Grandpa in Kampung)
plea (please)
ori (sorry)
Poo-poo (for shee-shee & pass motion)
book
nien-nien (milk)
mum-mum (food)
na-na (banana)
the BEST of all is "Ka-Kut" means Thank-you!!
As a mom, I'm truly proud of her...though I'm kinda worry why she still not talking much.
I do not have this problem with Janelle she she was 2 years coz she can even sing a whole song!!
Mmm...every child is different. Both are just as special & smart as they are

Potty Train
Janessa is 23 months old now...will be 2 years old soon. How time flies...
She has many milestones and the most outstanding milestone is she has been potty trained since Dec 2009 (when she is 13 months old). During day time, she doesn't wear diapers at all...save mommy's $$ ;o)
Each time she want to shee-shee, she will say "poo-poo" . I will bring the potty for her.
Or each time she when drinks a lot of water...I will bring the potty to her.
Every morning, her routine after bath is to sit on the potty and she will surely "poo". In fact, I will make her sit until she "poo"s. I'm so proud of her.
Last month, she demonstrate another milestone...she will take off her panties and sit on the potty herself whenever she wants to "poo". So cute to see her doing that...
She will smile & clap her hands whenever we praise her.

10.10.10
Kenny & I decided to create some memories on this day to that we can cherish for the rest of my life. We decided to bring the girls for movie at Midvalley Megamall.
Since it was the 1st movie for Janessa so we watched " Sammy's Adventures - The Secret Passage". When we reached the cinema, the Q was as usual so long. In my heart, I think there will be no chance getting a ticket.
However, God is so good to us - a guy stopped by me asking me whether I wanna apply EON-GSC credit card. I told him that I had just cancelled my EON card & I dont intend to apply anymore.
Then he asked me what movie I would like to watch...I told him I hope I can get tickets for the cartoon movie for my girls. He whispered to me - " I can bring you to the special lane for EON credit card to get the tickets. Come follow me!" I was stunned - " Are you sure?" He said "YES"
At that time Kenny also trying his luck to line up at the reservation counter to get the tickets, but the Q is also long.
Guess what - I got the tickets...yahoo! Janelle is so happy. Janessa also blur blur happy. In fact, I took the risk to bring along Janessa - I worries that she might cry/make noise since this is her first time.
To my surprise, Janessa enjoyed the movie. Most of all, she enjoyed her popcorn & her vitagen drink, haha! Mommy also happy because she can watched with peace and finish the whole movie. Half way through the movie, after eating all the pop corn - Janessa decided to sit with Papa and...zzzz she slept!! So cute..
The movie ended at 7.15pm. We had a great time & headed for dinner at the Food Junction. Janessa was still sleeping & I had a "peaceful" dinner too..
Time to go home. Once home Janelle told me that she wanna take shower first...
After way through the shower, Janelle's nose's started to bleed. I was shocked...then she started to spit blood...so so much. I quickly asked my mom for ice to stop the bleeding.
The best part is my mom asked her to cross her middle fingers of both hands to stop the bleeing. Ahhh...what theory is that? She said it works...and she read this in the Chinese newspaper.
Suddenly Janelle in between cry...she said "Mommy I want to see God already?" I said " NO-laa" I told Kenny to bring her to hospital immediately. Janelle heard this & she cried even more & said she doesnt want to go to hospital. She said that she didnt want to be alone in hospital..
I quickly change and get ready to hospital. Thanks God, the bleeding stopped...
Should we go hospital now? hah...we didnt go. We all ended going to bed early....
After all the chaotic moment, I hugged Janelle and said " I love you!" I tugged her to bed & knowing that she is still my little darling girl.
Indeed, 10.10.10 was an eventful day for us...
